MEET THE ARTISTS

Sara Winfield is a local Western artist who has a passion
for the Australian outback.

Her large scale paintings and intimate paper drawings are a curious adventure into perceptible sensory engagement, exploring the meeting point where emotion and colour intersect.

Local Westen Austalian artist Elsie Harbour was inspired by the details of the coastal shrub at Redgate Beach, WA. There is a track down to the rocky shore Elsie visited and camped at often throughout her youth and into adulthood. It is a secluded yet nearby pocket of the southwest coastline that she loves. The misty saltspray lit up like gold in the sunrise, the smell of the breeze and the ever changing ocean. As she sat in the sun to paint this piece, Elsie was so impressed by the compact, sturdy yet fine detailed nature of the plants around me. "I painted a tiny patch of that dune vegetation, and represented it as I saw it; a dreamy, colourful world of its own."

Dune Distilling's Pink Grapefruit gin label features gorgeous artwork from local West Australian artist, Nicola Herbert. A bartender by night, Nicola paints in her spare time combining ink and watercolour in the majority of her artwork. It’s only recently that Nicola has been challenging herself to draw more botanicals which led her to the artwork featured on the Dune Distilling Co label. Nicola plans to develop her painting hobby into a career in the creative industry.

A local abstract artist living in the South West of Western Australia, Carolyn's artpiece 'Juniper' features on the Blood Orange Liqueur label.

Carolyn works mainly in acrylics and also utilises mixed media such as inks, pastels and collage. Her work predominantly features abstract landscapes and florals that are bold, bright and drenched in colour. She aims to bring joy, energy and happiness with her paintings.  ​

The artwork for our Blood Orange Liqueur was created by a fusion of Carolyn's favourite techniques including collage and pattern, which resulted in a bright, lively piece reflecting abstract aspects of the botanicals included in the liqueur. @carolyn.trowbridge.artist

Victoria Van Dongen studied Visual Art in 2001 at
Central Tafe and Visual Art at Edith Cowen University in 2008
as part of a Bachelor degree in education. Victoria is
predominantly a landscape artist, painting from photos that
she has taken at various locations in WA.

Victoria’s work is expressive and playful. She uses strong
brushwork, colour and pattern to capture the beautiful
landscapes surrounding the city of Perth and our South West.
Her emotional connection with the landscape is evident in the
